If you love great food and excellent locally-brewed beer, you are in luck! Only 100 yards (91 meters for our foreign guests) from our entrance lies the 49th State Brewing Company, a local brew pub and eatery loved by visitors from around the globe and cherished by the locals during the summer. Enjoy some of the best beer in the state and meet people visiting from a multitude of other countries as well as the wonderful Healyites themselves. Nestled against our convenience store is Alaska Auto Rental, the only car rental facility in the Denali National Park area. While most car rental companies require their patrons to be at least 25 years of age, Alaska Auto Rental prides themselves on letting anyone with a valid driver's license to rent a vehicle, providing younger travelers the ability to experience our beautiful state in ways they may not have access to otherwise.
Every person who travels to the Denali area is on their own personal journey, and many visitors that choose to come here have felt touched by the experiences of the controversial Christopher McCandless, who traveled into the park in 1992 and lived in an abandoned bus in the wilderness, as depicted in the wildly popular documentary film Into The Wild. While the actual bus remains 'in the wild' of Denali National Park, the bus seen in the film is a popular tourist attraction in its own right, located on the grounds of the 49th State Brewing Company. There is an excellent spot to take your photo in front of the bus, and visitors are encouraged to enter and explore it, and to feel a connection to the man many passing through have considered an unconventional, unique visionary.
Spending a summer in Denali National Park is truly a life altering experience. Many people come to work in Alaska for a summer and end up spending a lifetime. Our facility is locally owned and operated by Denali Visions 3000 Corporation. This small Alaskan business is headed by two young, (well, kind of young), fellows who first came to Denali as seasonal employees. The partners love the park and feel blessed to live and work in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. They place a high value on hiring like-minded employees and aim to be the best employer in the area.
The environment in our facilities is fast paced, and we strive to be the best eating, drinking, and entertainment establishments in Denali. We take great pride in serving high quality meals and providing exceptional service to our guests. We are looking for hard working, fun-loving individuals to help accomplish our mission. We value our reputation of being a "cool place to work" and we are proud of the fact that we have many employees return summer after summer. The reason our place is such a great place to work is that we promote teamwork and hold our employees to the highest of standards within a casual, fun atmosphere. If you work well with others and take pride in doing a good job, you will enjoy working for us. Before you fill out an online application please understand that if you are hired, we will have high expectations of you and your job performance!
